Have you ever looked at a tiny doodle in your notebook and thought, “This would make such a cute sticker”? In this beginner-friendly class, artist and sticker maker Zach Spuckler will walk you through his process of turning hand-drawn artwork into finished stickers, sticker sheets, and collectible stationery goods. You’ll see how a simple sketch can become a polished product while still keeping the charm, texture, and personality of the original drawing. Zach will share his process for developing sticker ideas, his favorite design tools, preparing artwork for production, and his favorite DIY tools and sticker printers! This class is perfect for journalers, doodlers, pen lovers, stationery collectors, and anyone who wants to see how analog creativity can become something tangible, shareable, and fun.

New to pen shows, and aren’t quite sure what to do and where to go? Come attend “Pen Show 101”, where we’ll go over etiquette, must-does, don’t-dos, and answer your questions. The talk will be followed by a tour of the show floor with vendor highlights.

A Commonplace Book is a space in which to keep wisdom or information you don’t want to lose. It is a phenomenal use for all types of information about the world that you want to remember.

The idea of the Commonplace Book goes back to the time of the Greeks. In this interactive workshop, we will investigate Commonplace history and explore modern forms of this analog record keeping. You’ll leave the session with ideas for how to organize, thematize, and choose information for your own Commonplace Book.
